Market, basket boat and a cooking class in Cam Thanh in the morning; in the afternoon the Lady Buddha on Monkey Mountain, the pagodas and caves of the Marble Mountains and Am Phu Cave, back in Hoi An at 6:00 PM.

Your morning belongs to the kitchen. With the chef you browse a local market and learn about the ingredients, ride a bamboo basket boat through the Cam Thanh coconut forest, and then cook – and eat – a lunch of local dishes.

After a rest you head about 30 km north to Da Nang. On Monkey Mountain the great Lady Buddha statue stands against the mountains and the sea, beside a serene bonsai garden. Then the Marble Mountains: stone-carving workshops at the foot, 19th-century pagodas from Vietnam's last dynasty at the top, and caves such as Huyen Khong or Tang Chon.

The last stop is Am Phu Cave, the largest and most fascinating cave in the complex, where Buddhist ideas of the afterlife are carved into the rock.
