Make your own Hoi An lantern with local craftsmen, then head into the Cam Thanh coconut forest by boat: net fishing, crab catching, basket boat rowing and a 7-dish local meal. Morning or afternoon sessions.

Hoi An's silk lanterns are the town's signature, and on this half day you make one yourself. Local craftsmen show you how the bright frames and fabric come together, then guide you as you build a lantern to take home.

The rest of the session is spent in Cam Thanh's coconut forest. A boat glides through the water palms, local fishermen teach you round-net and cast-net fishing, you go looking for crabs and drop the net, and you learn to paddle a bamboo basket boat before watching the experts spin theirs. It all ends at the fisherman's house with a meal of seven local dishes.

Immerse yourself in the peaceful atmosphere of Cam Thanh Village on a relaxing boat trip through the coconut forest. Join traditional fishing activities with local experts and try round-net and cast-net fishing with local fishermen.

Basket boat rowing & performance
Learn to paddle the unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boat, join in the basket boat rowing and watch a basket-boat performance. Then go catching crabs and drop the net.

Sessions: from Hoi An 9:00 AM–12:30 PM or 2:00–5:30 PM; from Da Nang 8:00 AM–1:00 PM or 1:00–6:30 PM. The morning session includes lunch, the afternoon session dinner.
Group size: small group, 1–12 guests from Hoi An; 2–12 guests from Da Nang (minimum 2).
Children 1–4 years travel free when sharing a seat and meals with their parents; children 5–9 years pay the child price; from 10 years the adult price applies.
