Dragonbay Premium Cruise 2 Days 1 Night: Ha Long Bay & Lan Ha Bay

A night on Dragonbay Premium Cruise, a 26-cabin ship launched in 2022 with balcony cabins, a deck pool and a lawn sundeck. Kayak or take a bamboo boat at the Dark & Bright Cave, swim in Lan Ha Bay and kayak at Tra Bau the next morning.

Dragonbay Premium Cruise was launched in 2022 in a neoclassical style: 26 cabins for up to 42 guests, a dining room with wooden tables, an indoor bar, a deck pool and a sundeck laid with grass and flowers.

From Tuan Chau the ship sails past Finger Islet and Candle Islet into Lan Ha Bay. The afternoon is spent at the Dark & Bright Cave, by kayak or bamboo boat, with a swim in the green water. Back on board there is a sunset party and a spring-roll cooking class before dinner at anchor.

The second morning starts with Tai Chi on deck, then a kayak among the islands of Tra Bau before brunch on the way back.

    Day 1: Tuan Chau – Ha Long Bay – Lan Ha Bay

    Kayaking on the bay with the ship behind

    08:00–08:30: pick-up from your hotel in Hanoi's Old Quarter if you book the transfer.

    11:30–12:00: arrive at Tuan Chau Harbour.

    12:00: a tender takes you to Dragonbay Premium Cruise. Welcome drink, briefing and safety talk from the cruise manager, then check in to your cabin.

    13:00: lunch as the ship sails out past Finger Islet, Candle Islet and the limestone towers of the bay.

    15:30: Dark & Bright Cave in Lan Ha Bay: kayak or ride a bamboo boat, then swim in the green water (bring swimwear, sun cream and sunglasses).

    17:00–18:00: sunset party with a bar offer, and a cooking demonstration: the chef shows how to make Vietnamese spring rolls, and you make your own.

    19:00: dinner of local dishes while the ship anchors for the night in a quiet spot. Later: squid fishing, the bar, a film, a massage, or an early night.

    Day 2: Tra Bau – Tuan Chau – Hanoi

    06:00: sunrise Tai Chi on the sundeck.

    07:00: light breakfast with tea and coffee as the ship passes the karsts.

    08:00: a small boat takes you to the Tra Bau area for kayaking among the islands, an area where Kong: Skull Island was filmed.

    09:30: back on board to check out.

    10:00: brunch as the ship heads back to harbour.

    11:30–12:00: arrive at Tuan Chau Harbour. With the transfer, you are back at your hotel in Hanoi around 15:00–15:30.

    The ship leaves the busiest routes behind for Lan Ha Bay, where the Dark & Bright Cave opens onto green water for kayaking and swimming.

Tuan Chau Harbour, Ha Long. Boarding by tender at 12:00; pick-up from Hanoi's Old Quarter at 08:00–08:30 if you book the transfer.
