A night on Lyra Grandeur, a 33-suite ship launched in 2025: every suite has a balcony or terrace and an ocean-view bathtub. Kayak in Frog Lagoon, ride the waterslide, and row into the Dark & Bright Cave at dawn.

Lyra Grandeur is the newest ship of the Lyra Cruise Collection, launched in 2025. It is a large ship with only 33 suites, so the public spaces feel generous: a four-season pool and jacuzzi, an outdoor Nordic-style sauna, a spa, an entertainment room and a 360° observatory on the sundeck.

The interiors are Indochine in style, with Vietnamese craft details, and every suite has floor-to-ceiling windows, a private balcony or terrace and a bathtub facing the bay.

The route leaves the busier waters of Ha Long Bay for Lan Ha Bay: an afternoon in Frog Lagoon, sunset in the lounge, a night at anchor, and the Dark & Bright Cave by bamboo boat the next morning.

Day 1: Tuan Chau – Ha Long Bay – Frog Lagoon
11:30: check in at the Lyra Cruise Collection lounge at Tuan Chau International Port.
12:00: a tender takes you out to Lyra Grandeur. Welcome drink and safety briefing from your cruise manager.
13:00: buffet lunch in the Harmony of the Sea restaurant as the ship sails through Ha Long Bay towards Lan Ha Bay.
15:00: Frog Lagoon (Ao Ech). Kayak or swim in the sheltered water, ride the waterslide, or stay in the heated pool and jacuzzi, or the sauna.
17:00: visit the wheelhouse to meet the captain, then sunset drinks and snacks in the lounge.
18:00: cooking demonstration: learn a Vietnamese dish with the chefs.
19:00: set-menu dinner in the restaurant.
20:45: film night with popcorn, poker with a professional dealer, the Entertainment Room or squid fishing off the stern. Overnight on board in Lan Ha Bay.

Day 2: Dark & Bright Cave – Tuan Chau
06:00: sunrise Tai Chi on the sundeck.
06:15: breakfast in the restaurant.
06:45: Dark & Bright Cave by bamboo rowing boat: through a low passage into a still, round lagoon ringed by cliffs.
09:00: back on board to pack and check out.
09:30: brunch as the ship cruises back to port.
10:30: ashore at Tuan Chau by tender, by 11:00.

Frog Lagoon by kayak
The afternoon belongs to Frog Lagoon, a sheltered pocket of Lan Ha Bay. Paddle out between the cliffs, swim, or ride the waterslide straight off the ship.
Warm water, cool evenings
When the air turns cool, the heated pool, jacuzzi and outdoor sauna keep the bay in view in every season.
Into the cave at dawn
Before most boats are awake, a bamboo boat slips through the low arch of the Dark & Bright Cave into a still lagoon.
