Pu Luong 2 Days 1 Night – Village Trek, Silk Weaving, Waterwheels & Bamboo Rafting

Two days in Pu Luong Nature Reserve: trek through terraced rice fields and villages, see silk weaving in a Thai home, the old waterwheels of Chieu Lau, then a bamboo raft with lunch on Cham Stream.

Pu Luong Nature Reserve is a land of terraced rice paddies, rolling hills and stilt-house villages. On this trip you walk its trails, meet families in their homes and gardens, and float down Cham Stream on a bamboo raft: adventure, rest and culture in one rural escape.

    Pick-up in Hanoi Old Quarter

    About 4 hours' drive to Pu Luong Nature Reserve, with a short break.

    Arrive and lunch

    Check in at the hotel and have lunch.

    Jour 3 · Rice terraces

    Village trek

    Trek past terraced rice paddies, hills and villages. Meet locals, see traditional stilt-house building and crafts, and stop at a spring. Back at the hotel for the pool; dinner is at your own expense.

    Lan village silk weaving

    Walk through rice fields to Lan village. A Thai family shows silk from cocoon to cloth, and you try weaving yourself.

    Chieu Lau waterwheels

    Traditional farming and the ancient waterwheels in action in Chieu Lau village.

    Jour 6 · On foot

    Trek to Cham Stream

    A 4 km walk from Chieu Lau to Cham Stream, with a stop at a local house.

    10:45–12:30

    Jour 7 · On the stream

    Bamboo rafting and lunch

    Float through forest, rice fields and villages with lunch on the raft. Bring a swimsuit and towel in warm weather.

    Jour 8 · Homeward

    Return to Hanoi or Ninh Binh

    The bus takes you back to Ninh Binh (around 17:00–17:30) or Hanoi (around 18:00–18:30).
